Rubio’s On A Roll
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is on a roll!
In recent congressional testimony, he noted just how inefficient USAID was. Rubio said that only 12 cents on the dollar actually reached aid recipients, while 88 cents was spent “supporting the foreign aid industrial complex.”
He just announced plans to massively overhaul the State Department by merging or eliminating 44% of its offices and bureaus, resulting in 3,400 fewer bureaucrats at the department.
He’s taking on the foreign censorship complex by imposing visa restrictions on foreign officials and individuals who limit free speech. This is important because we know agencies of the Biden administration worked with foreign governments to impose censorship policies in the United States.
And Secretary Rubio is also confronting communist China.
He announced yesterday that the nearly 280,000 Chinese foreign students in America will be getting extra scrutiny. Any Chinese student with known connections to the Chinese Communist Party or those “studying” in critical fields will have their student visas revoked.
The left-wing media outlet Politico said Rubio’s move would hurt us economically. That’s the same argument that was used to justify giving communist China “most favored nation” trading status.
We were told free trade would turn the Chinese communists into capitalists and create great economic opportunities for America. That’s not what happened.
But more to the point, communist China’s spying is hurting us economically and in every other way imaginable!
We hear this all the time. Former FBI Director Christopher Wray testified that the FBI was opening a new China counterintelligence investigation every 12 hours and that the communist regime was the greatest threat to our country.
When asked what keeps him up at night, FBI Director Kash Patel said it was communist China “for a whole host of reasons.”
The threats from communist China are not conspiracy theories, and they should have been addressed long before now.
