Lies Of The Left

Many pundits keep saying that Democrats are flailing because they have no strategy. Yes, they do. Their strategy is lie, lie, lie. They want the support for conservative populism to collapse. They do it through constant fearmongering.

Remember the tragic collision at Reagan National Airport in late January? Sean Duffy was sworn in as secretary of transportation just one day before the crash. Democrats and their leftist comrades blamed the accident on “Trump’s cuts at the FAA.” It was a lie. No air traffic controllers had been fired.

Now, Newark Liberty International Airport is in the news. The airport has three runways. One is being reconstructed. So, you’ve got a problem right there.

You have the additional problem of staffing. Not enough people want to be air traffic controllers. Secretary Duffy has streamlined the hiring process and launched a major recruiting effort.

On April 28th, the air traffic control and communication system at Newark went down for 30 seconds. There is no evidence anyone was in danger during that time. But it was a very tense moment.

So tense that reportedly 20% of Newark’s air traffic controllers are taking 45 days off because they were “traumatized” by the event, making the crisis at the Newark airport even worse.

Joe Biden and his Democrat enablers passed a massive infrastructure bill in 2021. Apparently, there wasn’t any money in the bill to update our antiquated air traffic control system.

It’s so old that Congress authorized a modernization effort . . . in 2003. That was 22 years ago! It’s so old that FAA computers still use floppy disks!

There was plenty of money in the Democrats’ infrastructure bill for green energy boondoggles like electric vehicle chargers. And the FAA’s DEI programs were flush with cash.

To be more “inclusive,” Biden’s FAA was aggressively hiring people with “targeted disabilities,” including “hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability, and dwarfism.”

Call me skeptical, but I don’t think the solution to the FAA’s problems is deaf, blind, one-armed, air traffic controllers.

And what is the Democrats’ contribution to solving this crisis? More lies. They’re blaming it all on Donald Trump and Elon Musk. House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries yesterday accused President Trump of “decimating” and “breaking” the FAA.

These lies will scare people into not flying and, thus, hurt another American industry. Leftist politicians are not particularly interested in helping America. They’re interested in getting and keeping power.

They have no issues that resonate with the American people. That’s why they were importing a new electorate. We know the Left has an authoritarian impulse. And what do authoritarians do? They lie.
