Fighting For Freedom

As the new school year gets underway, there are new skirmishes erupting in the culture war every day. In this fight over the values we will pass on to our children and grandchildren, Moms for Liberty is a critical ally for patriotic, pro-family Americans.

The organization was founded by two mothers who both had shocking interactions with their local schools. Tina Descovich, one of the co-founders of Moms for Liberty, “got woke” after her son came home one day and showed her a project he got an A+ on. 

While her son was proud of his grade, Descovich was horrified: Her son made a “Wanted” poster for Christopher Columbus on charges of crimes against humanity. She spent weeks reviewing history books to see what had changed since she was in school, and eventually ran for the school board. 

This is a theme we’ve seen over and over again. The left is attacking anything and everything to do with the founding of America, the nation that has brought more liberty and prosperity to people around the world than any other nation. 

But the left hates the truth, and it really hates Moms for Liberty. The Southern Poverty Law Center smeared Moms for Liberty as an “anti-government extremist” organization. They have also received an avalanche of hate mail. Someone who refers to himself as “Satan” writes every week.

The left’s hysterical reaction to two moms who insist on accountability in the government-run schools is telling. A primary purpose of the left today is to instill in our children a sense of shame for being an American. Just think about that. No major world power is teaching its own children that their own nation is evil. It’s insanity!

But the American people are catching on, and Moms for Liberty is tapping into a growing sense of betrayal.  Satisfaction with the state of government-run education is at a record low, and the left’s insanity is a big reason why.
