Do Israeli Children Matter?

Kamala Harris regularly excoriates Israel and the Israeli Defense Forces every time civilians are killed in Gaza.

In December, Harris said, “Too many innocent Palestinians have been killed. Frankly, the scale of civilian suffering and the images and videos coming from Gaza are devastating,” as if the October 7th massacre of innocent Israelis by Hamas terrorists never happened.

Last week, immediately after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Harris declared:

“What has happened in Gaza over the past nine months is devastating. The images of dead children and desperate hungry people fleeing for safety, sometimes displaced for the second, third, or fourth time. We cannot look away in the face of these tragedies. We cannot allow ourselves to become numb to the suffering. And I will not be silent.”

But Harris never mentions the fact that Israel is not responsible for the deaths and suffering in Gaza. Hamas is.

Hamas controls Gaza, and it is using the Palestinian population as human shields.

Every day, Hamas terrorists are committing war crimes by hiding rocket launchers and other weapons in civilian areas. Hamas does that because they know Western media and leaders will blame Israel when Palestinian civilians are inevitably killed in any Israeli retaliation.

But where was Kamala Harris when 12 Israeli children were killed by an Iranian-made rocket, fired by Hezbollah, into an area with no potential military targets?

She has not said one word in her own voice condemning that atrocity. She is silent when Israeli children are killed. Just more evidence of the left’s high tolerance for dead Israelis.

Yet Harris was eager to excoriate Netanyahu over “dead children” in Gaza after they met. She really wanted to get that on the record to appease the radical anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, pro-Hamas “progressive” movement.
