Blessed Are The Peacemakers

To all the mothers reading this, I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day! I hope your family recognized everything you’ve done for them over the years. President Trump tried to give not only American mothers but mothers all over the world something precious this weekend. Let me explain.

Historians have observed that when men in combat are severely wounded and dying, many often call out for their mothers to help them. When you think about it, it’s the most normal thing in the world that a man would scream out for the woman who gave him life as his life is being taken away. 

President Trump is working tirelessly to end wars and bring peace so fewer sons will die in battle calling out for their mothers’ help. 

Joe Biden never even tried to broker a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia. The Biden White House refused to talk to Russia. Their only solution was to send more U.S. tax dollars and weapons to Ukraine, guaranteeing more dead Ukrainian sons and Russian sons and more grieving Ukrainian mothers and Russian mothers.

Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, leaders from Ukraine and Russia will meet this week in Turkey to try to end this terrible war.

Last week, the world nervously watched as the unthinkable almost became a reality -- two nuclear powers, India and Pakistan, engaged in a major war. President Trump directed Vice President Vance and Secretary of State Rubio to bring the two nations back from the brink, and they did. 

In the Middle East, Donald Trump is doing everything he can to end the cycle of war. He’s cutting off revenue to the world’s leading state-sponsor of terrorism – Iran. He is strengthening U.S. relations with Arab nations. And Edan Alexander, the last American hostage held by Hamas, was freed this morning, thanks to President Trump. 

At the same time, Donald Trump is rebuilding our military because he knows the surest way to maintain peace is through strength. He has rejected the idea of America as the world’s policeman. He does not believe that the way to peace is to constantly send American men and women to war. 

He believes the way to peace is for America to be strong and to engage the world through strength and by providing incentives and, when necessary, threats to keep nations from warring with each other. 

Some portion of the left will always hate Donald Trump no matter what he does. He could discover a cure for cancer, and they would still hate him. But someday, Donald Trump will get his reward for seeking peace.
